Can L2 EAD extension be applied in parallel with L1 and L2 extension

Hi,

My huband's L1A and my L2 is expiring by 19th Sep 2018 and my husband is working on the extension process for L1A and L2.Can I apply for my L2 EAD extension in parallel with this or should I wait till the L1 extension petition is approved.Please help
