SNUSA Posted June 18, 2018 Report Share Posted June 18, 2018 My husband is working with a NON-profit organization since last 6yrs on HIB visa His visa doesn't permit him to shift to A Profit org. Since the pay is as less he wants to shift to Profit org. What are the chances and ways of doing it ? We have almost tried everything.... Link to comment
JoeF Posted June 18, 2018 Report Share Posted June 18, 2018 A for-profit company would have to file an H1 for him in the quota, i.e., April 1 for a start date of Oct. 1. However, if he has used 6 years of H1, he would have to go abroad for a year before a new H1 can be filed, unless he has an approved I-140. Link to comment
