Gap between I-94 and H1b Extension Start date

My current H1b expires 26th Sept 2018.
My current I-94 expires 26th Aug 2018, 30 days early.

 (Why this gap ?  On my recent port of entry CBP officer accidentally entered I-94 expiry as august 26 instead of sept 26 )

My new H1b extension was approved on 11th June and has a start date from 27th September 2018.

So,

Am I out of status on 26th Aug (when I-94 expires) or

Am I good because "last action rule" kicks in, as my H1b was approved before I-94 expiry.
