Short Term Disability Impact on US Citizenship Application

I am a US  Green card Holde , and had come to India on vacation and happened to undergo a retina detachment surgery. Although the surgery has been successful , I am advised to rest for about 2-3 months . Below are some of my questions:

1) My company provides paid leave for short-term disability. Is it advisable to claim it without having any negative impact on N-400 application.

2) My wife's I-130 petition is also filed with USCIS , it was filed in December 2018 at California Service Center. What could be the possible implications of claiming or not claiming the short term disability salary from my employer.

That's provided by the company, so it's ok. The only issue would be public benefits, which this isn't.
