Can we leave and re-enter US when my dependent's I-539(H4) is pending with USCIS

My H1 extension is approved however via premium processing and my child's H4 extension is pending with USCIS. We have to travel to India for a month and come back to US. 
My questions: 
1. Can we travel to India and get the stamping done for both H1 and H4 with my H1 extension approval ? 
2. What will happen to the pending H4 extension petition ? 
3. Will there be questions in port of entry in US regarding the pending H4 extension petition ?

2. It will be abndoned.

3. Nope. Just have the receipt saying you filed on time.

jut take your H1b approval for the stamping.  H4 visa also will be approved.
