Is it really true that H1 to H4 COS will take 4-5 months in California?

I have seen atleast 2 cases who got their H1 to H4 COS+H4 EAD approved in 40-50 days.

USCIS website says it's between 1 to 4.5 months.

I know it's going to take more time earlier,but I guess it's much faster now a days.But I might be wrong.

Wondering if it's really true that H1 to H4 COS will take 4-5 months in California? 

Please post if you or your friends applied for COS in California center recently?

I wish it was true in my case. It's been pending since December 1st.

Thanks for your response. Surprising.Are you sure it's California center? Did you raise a service request?

Is it for both H1 to H4 COS+H4 EAD?  OR only H1 to H4 COS?

As per current time lines, the case enquiry date is January 24th.So you can raise a request if not already done.

Ok,just saw your previos posts.So I assume your H1B is in regular process from Dec 1st 2017. Do you have H1 to H4 COS also pending ?
