Travel on Valid previous H1B visa while case is under administrative processing

My current visa expires in september 2018, which was stamped with previous employer.

I have changed employer in jan 2018 and got approved I797 valid till october 2021.

currently im in India, submitted passport for stamping on 1st June (with latest I797) through dropbox.

The status was updated to Administrative processing on 4th june.

Since my previous visa is still valid till September 2018, can I travel back to US with old visa while the case status is still Administrative processing.

No you can't travel back with your old visa.

Usually they cancel existing H1 VISAS without prejudice as an initial step. Hence wait for the visa.
