RFE on H1B amendment. Employer filing new H1 under Consular Processing

Hello Everyone,

H1B amendment received RFE. Attorney and employer decided it's better to withdraw petition instead of responding to RFE.

Meanwhile, they are filing a new H1B petition under Consular processing.  In the new petition, they are making necessary changes for Specialty occupation and other documentation based.

Now the question is, if this new petition under Consular processing is approved, do I need to step out of country immediately for H1B stamping interview ?  In other words, can I work in US based on approval of new petition or I need to immediately get out of US for Visa stamping interview ?
