Withdrawing H1 to H4 COS ?

It's little more than a month after filing my H1 to H4 COS ,H4 EAD in California.Since I got a new offer for H1 transfer,I want to withdraw and continue on H1. 

Did anyone successfully withdrawn H1 to H4 COS ? 

Any suggestions/tips on how to do it properly? 

I heard that withdrawal is risky as sometimes USCIS will still approve H1 to H4 COS,as withdrawal letter processing might take more time. 
Also heard that sometimes they will process withdrawal letter later after first approving the H1 to H4 COS,which might result in the person to be Out of Status. 

Do you think withdrawal is risky? Please suggest?

I would ask employer to apply for your H1 in premium processing, and as soon as you receive H1 approval, send a withdraw letter and include h1 approval notice.
