L1 visa extension in pending and H1 COS

Hi,

I need some help on understanding last action rule. My L1 Visa and i94 expire on aug'2018 and current company filing extension which is in progress, so, i applied H1 visa and it is picked in lottery and employer filed for COS. My Question is, if H1 COS is approved before oct'1st then i need to work with h1 employer from Oct1st. After Oct'1st, if L1 visa approved/denial then what will happen to my status, am i still with H1 visa or L1 visa as per last action rule? Does it impact my H1 status?
