H4, F1, OPT and I-94

Hi,

I recently got a COS done from H4 to F1, and I will be applying for OPT sometime this week. Problem is that my I-94 is expiring on 06/13/2018, even though I had a valid visa until Feb'2019 when I was on H4. Now that I am applying for OPT, I am worried my I-94 expiry will affect my application. My understanding is, I-94 is only required to prove that I am applying for OPT while in the United States. I cannot just visit a CBP office and have the information corrected on i-94 since now I am on F1 and will need to get a stamped visa. Can anyone advise me on my situation?
