RFE for H1B Extension + Amendment, can work after 240 days

Hi everyone,

I applied my H-1B Amendment + Extension on Aug 22 2017.

My I94  expired on Nov 05 2017

I got an RFE on March 22 2018.

My 240 days after I94 expiry ends on Jun end 2018.

My RFE reply is yet to be filled.My attorney saying "mine is H-1B Amendment + Extension so i can stay as long as the case is pending.

240 day rule applies only to H1-B extension without any change.

Could anyone please conform i can stay beyond 240 days.

Any update on this. Im in the same boat this year 2019.

My I94  expired on June 30, 2018

According to my knowledge its not allowed. 

Guys what are the options if denied ...Canada ?
