Mexico/Canada - Can I Come back to US if My Visa Rejected

Hi Friends,  I have a valid visa stamp up to September 2018, I got my extension approved for 2 years from Oct. I am planning to go either Mexico/Canada for stamping in June.  In case if rejected, can I come back to US with my existing visa stamp up to Step 2018?

No, you can't. The existing visa will be invalidated.

You would have to go to your home country and get a visa there.

That's the risk of going for visa stamping in a third country.

Thank you JoeF, what if it happens in the home country can we reenter with old visa stamp?

The first thing the Visa officer will do when you go for stamping is cancelling you existing valid visa and then start asking you questions.

No you cannot re-enter if you are rejected. Thats all and simple...

No you cannot, your existing visa will be cancelled and stamped with CWOP irrespective of your interview outcome.

I would say avoid the risk of stamping and travel on your existing visa before September 2018.

I think you can reenter with in a month based on this Murthy blog post. But I don’t know anybody personally who tried this.

That ONLY applies if you don't go for visa stamping. If you go for stamping you can NOT reenter if the stamping is denied.
