H4 Dropbox

Hi, can someone please help me out here (H4 dependent). Primary applicant (H1B) holds a "F" VISA stamping in passport. Post, F VISA, the VISA was changed to H1B. No H1B VISA stamping in passport was done as my spouse after moving out of school is yet to travel to India.
I however, hold a H4 VISA which expired on Sept-2017. I am traveling now to India. Was setting up the appointment, and after answering all the questions it is showing that I am eligible for "dropbox" interview waiver as my H4 VISA expired within 12months. However, my questions is whether I really qualify as there is no primary applicant H1B VISA stamping document that I can use as supporting (he has his H1B VISA status change valid till 2020). At the same time, there is no way for me to get an interview scheduled without saying that my H4 VISA expired more than 12 months.
Can submit my spouse (primary applicant) H1B status change document? What options do I have....

Thanks in advance for your help!

You are eligible for dropbox. Does not depend on your spouse having visa stamp in passport.

Seems like we are in same situation. let me know what do you think. But here is what we planning to do.

I am going to use drop-box for my family. In worst case they might need to go for interview in person.

Advantage -

1. U.S. Consulate might not ask for personal interview

2. As of now latest available interview date is July 10. When you use drop-box and if U.S. Consulate ask you for interview, you can walk in any time. Time saving.

This is my thought

My stamping was completed successfully using dropbox process even though spouse does not have H1B visa stamp. When I was submitting the documents required for drop box, they asked about the spouse (Principle applicant's) H1B VISA stamping copy though. I submitted them expired F1 VISA and explained the reason for not getting H1B VISA stamping on spouse. I got the VISA approved in a week and my passport was available for pick up. Came back to US too.
