H4 to F1 while H4 transfer is in progress

 My husband is on H1 and he has a valid visa with company 'X' until May 2019 and so is my H4.  Now he switched to employer 'Y'  last month and his H1 and my H4 transfer both are in progress with USCIS. 

1) Now I have applied to one college for  the fall sem and  I am planning to apply for the change of status from H4 to F1.  Am I eligible to apply for the change of status to F1, while my H4 transfer is in progress? Is this advisable?

2) If yes, is it ok to proceed with the 'X' company documents..?(while submitting documents to USCIS, such as my I94, husband's I 797, I94,)

3) How about employment letter of H1 visa holder? Our current valid I94 and I797 are from company 'X' and if we submit employment letter of company 'Y' , will there be any conflicts in this overall process?
