Visitor Visa for one of the parent

Reccommendations are highly appreciated.

My Father in Law will be visiting us this summer from india, We (Me and My Wife) planning to have his visa interview done in Chennai without my Mother in Law.

What are all the challenges here for only one parent willing to get visa

*He is retired with no pension (retired from private org)

*He has one single dependent child in India

*He has cash in bank to show as asset part

*Planning to stay here for ony a month or two, not really a full 6 months time.

sorry Noah for the late reply and thanks for your reply.

No. MIL is not going to apply in the near future due to personal commitments. Since FIL is retired and  available for travel we only want to bring him for now. MIL probably after her retirement which is years to come.
