HJosh
Hi, I changed the employer and shared the H4 documents twice in March & April to my new employer for H4 filings but both time he missed and always said "We have filed" but never shared H4 receipt notice. Now they said we are refiling and filed on April 30th but still did not share the H4 receipt no. Due to that my wife's H4 EAD would get delay and she will have to leave the job. Is my new employer is liable for this? Can I take any legal action because of my wife's job lost? Thanks. Link to comment
JoeF
The H4 is your/your wife's responsibility. Employers may file it out of courtesy, but they are not required to. Link to comment
