ramana33
HI All, I have following situation. Need some response that is really accurate. I Filed H1B petition in 2017 through consultancy and the current case status is showing as "case was received" from past 1 year. When i called my consultancy, they are saying that they haven't received approval copy and still waiting for it. Please let me know what needs to be done in this scenario? Should i still wait for status to be change(already 1 year completed with same status)? OR i can switch the employer with my current petition? Kindly reply. Thanks, Ramana Link to comment
Booster
Hi Ramana, Sounds like we are on the same boat I'm also waiting for my petition which was filed by my employer in May, 2017 till now the case status remained the same as 'Case received' but I've couple of questions 1. Is this your H1B extension petition? 2. Which service center did they send your file? Link to comment

Booster
My advice will be try to convert your application to premium processing so that you don't have to wait until the last day of 240 day rule which I'm regretting now. Link to comment
SWENGI
Can we raise service request instead? Link to comment
Booster
Yes, you can raise the service request but it doesn't mean that they will process your application based on that. Service Request: This request will let you know the stage of your application or status of it. Link to comment
