3lok
Hi, I had applied for L2 EAD (i-765) for my wife on 01/08/2018 and got an approval for the same on 5/1/2018. However the EAD expiry date is based on my i94 expiry date instead of my wife's i94 expiry date. Due to this my wife got work permit only until 17 June 2018 which is less than 2 months from now. A month ago i had renewed my i94 and it is now valid until 04/04/2019, can i ask USCIS to do correction to my wife EAD and request to update the expiry date to 04/04/2019 or to i94 expiry date of my wife? I raised a service request for the same but i am not sure if it will go through as it is not exactly a typo/correction from original EAD filing. 1. L1A Primary Visa holder i94 Expiry date: 06/17/2018 (At time of filing), New i94 expiry date 04/04/2019(received after i applied for wife's EAD) 2. L2 applicant i94 expiry date: 05/06/2019 It took around 4 months to receive this EAD which will expire in 2 months unfortunately, my wife will be loosing her job in june in case this correction is not done. Can you please recommend various approaches that we need to take to amend this change? 1. Should we apply for EAD renewal? 2. Take USCIS in person appointment and explain the situation ? 3. Is there a premium processing or expedite process for EAD? If so how? Link to comment
vinodkt7
When you say your i94 is renewed, does that mean your L1 visa is extended? Normally extension is for 2 years, how come you got for 1 year only? Link to comment
