L1 to GC

Hi Team,

I have a question with the process of L1 to Filing GC, I worked out of US in a Managerial Position for 3 years. But during the Visa Interview I was provided a L1 visa with Specialized Skill ( rather than a L1 Managerial ). I am currently working in the role of Manger in US. What are my steps to file for GC, do i need to go through Labor and regular route ?  or request for change of status from L1 Specialized to L1 Manager. Please advice. Thanks

Hi,

In my opinion its better to convert to L1-A during next Visa renwal and file GC under EB1-C category.

One important point to remember when filing GC on L1 Visa, unlike H1 visa L1 will not be extended beyond 7 years.
