bumblebee123
I am an Indian national, working in US on H1B. Currently i am on short term (3 Months) assignment to Netherlands. I have approved H1B visa (3rd extension). I have following questions Possibility of more administrative processing time or delays? More chances of denial? Need of any additional documents if I do stamping (in Amsterdam, Netherlands) outside my home country? Any other risks/factors to be considered if I take appointment at Amsterdam, Netherlands? How risky it is to appear for visa interview at US consulate in Amsterdam? Appointment wait time in Amsterdam is 14 days whereas in india its 35-40 days. Thanks Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
If you donot have any valid US visa stamped done in your passport you cannot enter into US. So no need to worry about this questions and just go for stamping since you have to go for it. If you can enter US, comeback and go to India, Mexico, or Canada. Link to comment

bumblebee123
@gopalakrishnach Thank you for your response. I cannot enter in US as my extension is in progress. Once extension is approved, i need to go for stamping. As i mentioned in my 1st post - wait time for visa interview in India is 35-45 days whereas in Amsterdam its 15 days. I just wanted to know is it safe to do stamping outside India, Mexico and Canada? Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
If it is time constraint.. go to Amsterdam ( risky ). Get visitor visas to Mexico and Canada and go ( less risk) . Then India ( same level of risk as others visa cases ) Link to comment
bumblebee123
@gopalakrishnach Thanks for reply. Any specific reason for mentioning Amsterdam as risky? Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
I didnot hear any cases of H1B stamping at Amsterdam so we donot know how much experience they have... It may be even smooth. The key is confident and how clear your case is... Link to comment
