221G issued during visa interview

Hi,

I came to India on vacation and got to attend for VISA interview to attain valid VISA to return back to USA. But the VO issued 221G.

Its been 6 weeks, but did not receive any update from USCIS. Is there a way to know more information about issued 221g like the reason for issuing.

My VISA extension is success when in USA without any RFE.
