Birth Certificate

Hi,

I got a birth certificate from the government office dated recently. As the original date of birth record was missing in government office, they recently registered my date of birth into their records based on my passport. In the birth certificate they gave, they have date of registration as year 2010.

Will that be accepted for my green card application?

Do I need any other supporting documents?

Please let me know.

Could some one please answer whether the birth certificate dated recently rather than the year I was born, is ok to submit?

Since your date of registration is not close to your date of birth, you need get an affidavit from 2 blood relations confirming your birth date.

Your birth certificate needs to be registered in the past, say within 1 year as per the article in the following link. It explains the rest of it.

I got one affidavit which has both my mother and father signatures confirming my birth. Is this counted as 2 blood relations or do I need to get second affidavit from some one else?
