H4 EAD doesnt show full name in EAD card after clearly mentioning in cover letter

My I94  shows as JXXXX VXXXXX RXX

My EAD shows as JXXXX VXXXXR

In online form there wasn't enough space to write my name, so i have mentioned clearly in a cover letter mentioning my full name and signing that cover letter and sent it with all documents.

But looks like they just went through online form and ignored the cover letter due to which now my EAD shows incomplete name.

When i spoke to USCIS, they are asking me to send all the documents and cheque again and apply. if USCIS finds that it was their mistake, they will send the check back to you. 

My question is can i start working when it is in the process of changing name in EAD ?

Is there any other way where my issue can be solved with out submitting all the documents with cheque in it ?

Or will that be a issue if i continue with same EAD card  and work ?
