H1b profit to non profit and back to profit

Hello ,

My h1b was filed by a profit organization subject to cap in 2015. I then moved to a non profit and the Visa was extended till 2019. Now I want to move back to a for profit organization , will the Visa transfer be cap exempt or would I have to go through the Cap lottery system again?

Please advise.

If you have been counted in the quota and have not used the full 6 years, you are cap-exempt regardless if the employer is for-profit or non-profit.
