L1B First extension + Perm in progess

I need some clarifications on my first L1B extension process. My L1B individual Visa sets to expire by Jan/2019. My company filed a GC and perm will get file in another 2 months. How my L1B extension visa works? This is my first Visa extension and i have completed only 2.5 years in US with this visa. Do i get any separate extension process since Perm is in progress? Or Do i need to follow the normal L1B extension process ? I feel that, scrutinization is more on normal L1B extension process.

Hi Kannan,

Under which category you are filing GC? You need to get your GC within 5 years, as one cannot stay more than 7 years with L1 visa.

L1 visas won’t be extended beyond limit.
