anusha_rao
Hi, My uncle came to USA in 2000 on visitors visa and stayed longer till 2008. He was not deported but he himself returned back to home country in 2008. No deported stamp or nothing on his passport. He tried for visitor visa in 2014 and 2016 which was rejected. I read that since he stayed longer there would be 10 year bar. Now what would be the chances of him getting visa if he applies in August 2018 since the 10year would be completed? He is now 73yrs of age. His daughter is pregnant and wants to call her parents. What changes can be made to get his visa approved? Any help suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Link to comment
pontevecchio
Have him discuss chances of a waiver if necessary and a Tourist visa with the firm of Murthy in Chennai. Link to comment
JoeF
The chances are still pretty much zero. Link to comment

pontevecchio
Let us know what happens. Brevity indeed is the soul of wit. Maybe I should try trolling for a change. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Why not answer politely in a few words. ?. This is not a bully pulpit. There is no need for pontification or rudeness. It would seem that every recent post in the tourism forum has been met with unmitigated vitriol in the last few days and I see no reason for a lecture in response to every question in this thread. If your reply did not concern my post, please ignore it. Link to comment
pontevecchio
My response before your response asked the OP to have his uncle consult a lawyer. This is more useful than your pontification. Link to comment
