My EB2 PD (dec 2008) for INDIA - current in APR2018 bulletin.  Currently working in USA but spouse travelling to INDIA for summer vacation (May to AUg). Can I opt for Consular processing?. Whats the potential issue?. Have valid H1/H4 till Feb 2020. Since primary will be in US, how medical will be done in this case?

If I apply for AOS here in April 20th, assuming biometrics appointment might come in June/July and spouse cannot attend. Hence choosing consular processing.
