Can some one share MTR success rate and timeline

Hi All,

I have been searching threads regarding the Motion to reopen(MTR) those who are looking post cansome throw MTR success rate and timeline.

AS per USCIS once we get new petition number 90 days provide your valuable feedback.

As per USCIS guidelines, they review your MTR in 45 days. However success rate is very minimal. 

Apply for MTR only if there was some documentation error from your side and you now have those missing documents ready.

Very Slim chance of approval with MTR unless there is a genuine clerical error.

we can't apply probability to USCIS, especially under the new administration.

BTW what was the reason for denial?

Hi,

My H1b application got denied and i opened MTR and the reason for denial is that the job dutied i mentioned in both the client letter and vendor letter are verbatim(Same). Attorney told uscis went beyond the law and we appealed the decision.

This is my fresh H1-B visa I though once it s picked up in the lottery everything will go smooth 

pickedup in the lottery on  april 2017

Aug 2017 got a RFE (specialty occupation) 

Replied the RFE in the month of october 2017

Nov 4th 2017  got denied (reason for denial Speciality occupation)

Jan 26th  2018Filed MTR along with expert opinion letter filed 

Feb 7th 2018 Got New petition number

Thanks for sharing. My case was denied in Nov 17. MTR filed on Dec 28th 2017. Case was received on Dec 29th 2017 and no updates since then....

Hi,

Looks like you filed MTR outside of the 33 calendar day period. Did you mention any reason for delay?

How did you get expert opinion letter?

I am planning to file MTR but got only 4 days to reach 33 calendar day period.

Any guidance is appreciated. Thank you!

Employer filed for MTR within 33 days.

Currently in India as my i94 expired.

Case statuses on the old I129 Receipt number itself, I do not have any new receipt number.

Today my MTR case is approved after 2 years of wait and My old status still it shows "case was opened and reconsideration" can some tell me the case was on 2017 H1- B Petition.

 

Please guide me
