Sam31k
Hello All, My new employer did h1b transfer and got RFE saying why you are paying New Jersey taxes while your LCA is in Illinois and living in Illinois. I am currently working in Illinois, but my employer location is New Jersey, by mistake my employer paid to NJ. But the good thing is I have corrected in tax returns and asked refund for New Jersey and Paid Illinois Taxes. I didnt join the new company, I want to join after the transfer is approved. What are the chances of my H1b transfer getting approved? if this gets rejected? Will this anyway effect my current petition or in future, I am in the process of following up with my current employer to properly file my taxes generate payslips properly going forward. If in the future again I try for H1b transfer will they reject again. My lawyer is currently in the process of responding to RFE with my tax returns and with the bank statements stating that I am living in Illinois and corrected the tax things. I will keep you posted based on the updates I get for this. Thank you!! Quote Link to comment
