H1b extension applied but passport recently renewed

Hi,

My company applied for my h1b extension on 02/18/18 however i got my passport renewed just a week before 02/09/18. I am currently in india. 

My question is if i get approved, will there be an issue during stamping? Do i need to inform my attorney about same?

If your visa is applied using old passport the validity of the H1-B will be exactly the expiration date of the passport. You can carry both passports for stamping if required.
