H1B processing time and backlogs

Recommended Posts

I wanted to know whether the requests for new H1B's are completed within the same year or do they carry forward some backlog to the next year as well? Since April is almost here and many of our applications are still pending, is there any approximate timeline by when they might wind it up( as per previous year trends)?

No idea as I assume every year USCIS completes the H1B requests on the same year. But looks like most of the 2017 H1B's were messed up as there are many applicants now still waiting for their status to get either approved / denied as most of them have received an RFE for wage1. Also, USCIS has brought in some new rules for this year to tighten the screws. But to answer your question there is no approximate timeline for USCIS.
