My J1 waiver timeline based on no objection,

  • November 17, 2017 - Sent DS-3035 and other documents to DOS
  • December 21, 2017 - DOS sends Favorable Recommendation to USCIS
  • December 28, 2017 - I-612 case was received at USCIS lockbox
  • January 4, 2018 - Received Receipt Notice from USCIS in the mail

I am waiting for the USCIS approval. Any idea how long it takes? The vermont service center processing time says that they are processing July 1st, 2017 case right now. Is it true? I have seen people getting their waivers within a month after USCIS receives I-612 from DOS. My waiver is based on no objection.

Thanks!

I am in the same situation as you. I have the following timeline:

  • July 18, 2017 - Submitted all documents to DOS
  • November 30, 2017 - No Objection Statement Received by DOS
  • December 21, 2017 - DOS sends Favorable Recommendations to USCIS
  • December 28, 2017 - I-612 case received at USCIS lockbox at Vermont
  • January 4, 2018 - Received Receipt Notice from USCIS in the mail

I haven't heard anything yet from USCIS. I am hoping that mine will be processed within a month, just like it is for some others. The service center processing information does not appear to be updated frequently.

Please update when you hear something from the USCIS.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Hi guys,

Finally, I get the approval notice. My case was approved on 1/22/2018. For some reason, the website hasn’t been updated till now. So my case status is still “accepted” online. Hope you guys will get your approval notice soon.

Congratulations!! So looking at your timeline, it appears that USCIS takes about 2-3months to process the waiver. Thanks for your updates.
