H1B 6 years completed, have approved I140, now on F1

Hi,

I am in USA on H1B from 2012 to 2018 and got I140 approved in 2016.

my job got laid off so I dediced to study Masters and currently on F1.

in future after my study, if I want to apply for H1B, can I use my approved I140 petition for H1B transfer or I should go back to India and stay 1 year there? Please advise.
