mr178 0 Report post Posted January 9, 2018 I have my H1B Visa filed, picked in lottery and approved this October, 2017 from my employer which is not a non-profit org. (profit org) I have a pending job offer from a non-profit organization which is willing to transfer my H1B Visa to them. Will I be able to switch back to a profit organization in the future? or do I have to file for a new H1B Visa again? I am assuming that future non-profit to profit org H1B visa transfer would be a normal H1B Visa transfer without any new filing because I was in the quota of H1B Visa once and it is valid for 6 years. Could you correct me If I am wrong? Or provide more information on it Share this post Link to post

JoeF 7 Report post Posted January 9, 2018 Every H1 transfer is just a new, cap-exempt H1 petition. Once you have been counted in the quota and haven't used the full H1 time, you can change between any employer, for-profit or non-profit. Share this post Link to post
