Is it legal to work on I485 PR Approval Notice?

hi, 

I was working on my GC-EAD for the year of 2017, waiting for my GC to arrive. My EAD-GC expires on 01/02/2018. My PR was approved on 11/21/2017 and USCIS mailed my approval notice in a couple of days. USCIS also mailed my physical GC the next week, but USCIS and USPS both misplaced my card and I did not receive it yet. They mailed it to the wrong address, even though I had updated the new address in their record. 

I have applied for re-issuing my GC last week and not sure when I can get my card now. Can you comment and let me know if I will be able to work on the approval notice or I will have to wait for physical GC to arrive in order to stay on valid immigration status. PLEASE HELP!!!

That is up to your employer. You are in valid status.
