Issue with dates on H1 Visa Stamp

I attended visa interview in second week of december  at Hyderabad Consulate and it was approved. However, incorrect dates were printed on the stamp.

Below are the dates on my I797

10/27/2017 - 11/06/2018 - Extension

12/30/2016 - 12/29/2017 - Amendment + Extension

10/01/2016 - 09/30/2017 - Initial approval

 

The dates on my visa are from amendment. The newly stamped visa is set to expire on 12/29/2017..(The duration between date stamped to expiration is two weeks). How do I get my dates corrected.

You need to contact the consulate.

Same happened to my frnd last year he did contact the consulate personally and they did correct the stamp with corrected dates.

Let me know how you contact the consulate for such issues. Is it the black hole of support email ?

Unfortunately there is no direct way to contact the consulates.

As of now, I have contacted support-india@ustraveldocs.com with relevant information and documents. They said, it would take them 24-48 hours for them to review the documents and provide information on how to proceed further.

Also, I spoke to agents over phone, it takes a bit of navigation to connect to them. They couldn't be of much help though.

Hopefully, I will hear back from them by tomorrow.

I spoke to agent at ustraveldocs on +91 40 46258222. It took me a bit of patience and waiting. All I had to do was follow the prompt to reach the end of menu of selected item, wait for the dialogue/instructions to complete and select 5.
