H1B AND H4 VISA DROPBOX EXPERIENCE at Hyderabad

Submitted docs for H1 and H4 using the Dropbox option at Hyderabad consulate on 11/28.

- On 12/04 got an email about wife's H4 visa- Your documents have been collected from the US embassy/ Consulate. 

- But there was no update  on my H1 visa until 12/08. 

 it was showing following status online. no email update from consulate on 221g or anything. I was confused and not sure whats going on.

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

-Finally on 12/08 https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx status changed to issued. hope i will get passport in couple of days.

Timelines:

11/28 -  docs submitted

11/29 - case created

11/30 - Case last updated and showing administrative processing 

12/04 - h4 visa approved

12/08 - h1 status changed to issued

don't be panic if Dropbox status show administrative processing.
