Hello, I am currently in H1b visa , My project is coming to an end and since i am not able to find a new project yet , I want to do a COS h1 to h4 using my husbands visa , While i am in the process of doing that . If i get a job can i file H1b too ? Which one will be approved first ? If H4 is approved first can i go COS h4 to h1 PP ?

If you find a H1 sponsor have them file in PP and on approval,  leave and return on your existing H1 visa stamp or get a H1 visa stamp and return to start work. In the meantime file a COS to H4 at the moment.

Thank you pontevecchio . i want to come back to the same employer , so if h4 is approved will H4 to h1 cos PP allowed ? Can i start working after i get the receipt ?

Also should i leave the country and come back .
