GC question

I'm not sure if this is the right place for GC from Marriage question.

I have EB2 I-140 Aprroved with 2012 PD (India).

My wife has a GC  (7 years) but so far I have refrained from seeking sponsorship from her. Due to painful wait, we want to explore better options with regard to my GC application.  We have 2 options and would like to know what might be better with respect to time as we want to adopt a child. 

Options 1: File for GC in F2A (PD for F2A  is 2015).

Option 2 : Wife file for Citizenship and then sponsor my GC.  

Irrespective of above 2, can I still maintain my EB2 application from my employer until I get marriage based GC?
