F1 to H1B to F1

This my case

  •  I came to US in F1 on Jan 2016.
  • Applied for H1B change of status in Apr 2016, and got approved for an year.
  • Was working in H1B from (Oct 2016 to Sep2017).
  • Applied for change of status from H1B to F1 in Sep 2017.
  • H1B expired on Sep 2017 while COS application is pending.
  • I traveled to my home country in Oct 2017 for an emergency, so the COS H1B to F1 will be void now.
  • I have I20 for Jan 2018 Semester.

Considering the above scenario, if I need to get back to US in F1 following are my questions,

 (1) I have a valid F1 visa till 2020, and a valid I20 from college, should I go for stamping again, since I have been through change of status.

 (2) If I don't need to go for stamping, then how will my SEVIS gets reactivated, I assume this is needed during Port of Entry?
