crazyHermit Posted October 23, 2017 Report Share Posted October 23, 2017 Hi, Both me and my wife are on J1 visas and we are both subject to 212(e). Her J1 visa is about to expire in a few months. In mean time I am planning to apply for the Home country Residence Requirement (HRR) waiver of my J1. I have the following question regarding this. Can my wife convert to J2 after I have obtained a J1 HRR waiver? If so, will she need to apply for another HRR waiver for her J2? Thank you for your time. Link to comment
