Visitor Visa for Sister

Hello All,

I am on a H1B visa in the USA (have been here for over 10yrs, came on F1 and moved to H1B fulltime). I plan to call my sister and my nephew next year. (My sister lost her husband last year) What do you guys suggest I should do and why

1. I sponsor my sister and nephew

2. They sponsor themselves

There is no sponsorship for visiting visa. Let them apply by themselves. You just stay out of it. All they have to say during the interview is that they will be visiting US.

I expect the visit will be during summer vacations for the Nephew? Is your sister working?

In any case a reasonable stay at the appropriate time should result in visa issuance. Do not use "agents". Have them apply on their own recognizance and all details are in the consulate site. Let us know what happens.

@Neda   when i say sponsor, I mean to ask about the q in the ds-160 form, "Person/ Entity Paying for your trip"
