When I search online, all the articles and job ads and everything talks about technical jobs. But what about non tech fields? Is a person having H4-EAD simply allowed to work in something like a pharmacy, school, restaurant etc? How does one prove that one is eligible to work for these type of places (assuming that law allows it)? Link to comment

JoeF Posted October 5, 2017 Report Share Posted October 5, 2017 The H4 EAD is unrestricted work authorization. A person with the EAD can work in any job. When starting a job, an I-9 has to be filled out, and the I-9 instructions say what documents are acceptable to show work authorization. The EAD is among them. That's all there is to it.
