Is travel advised while Amendment in process?

Hi All,

I am planning to go to India during November this year. 

I have a valid visa stamping on my passport until Sep 2019. 

Due to a recent approved amendment, got a new I797 until Apr 2018. (H1 was reduced). 

As I changed the client (Employer never changed), I had to apply a new amendment. I filed a new amendment for Client_A 3 months back. It is still under processing. I changed my client to Client_B last week. As these two clients are under same MSA, my employer said, I don't need to file another amendment. 

My question is with an ongoing process of amendment, can I travel out of country and come back with valid stamping on my passport without any issues?

Has anyone done this in the recent past?

Please advice.
