Change employer after J1 approval

My J1 waiver approved this week. My current DS-2019 is still valid for next 10 months? Can I switch a job? under Academic Training.

I applied for J1 waiver for  two years requirement last year in Dec. This week it was approved. Is it Okay to start a new job under Academic Training. The new employer is offering H1B sponsorship as well. I am not asking my school (who issues me DS-2019) to extend my Academic Training beyond Aug 2018. I want them to just issue me an authorization to start the new job. 
Under Academic Training, I can work for 3 years. I had used only 14 months of this time. The current DS is valid till Aug 2018
