H1B or H4/H4 EAD - Last Action

Hi,

My spouse's company had filed for H1b with COS from H4/H4EAD (Valid until oct18 2017) and was approved on Sep21st. This is her first H1B and she would be on H1 starting Oct1st 2017.

But earlier she had an RFE, so just to be safe and avoid any break in employment, I had applied for her H4/H4 EAD extension on Sep8th. 

When my H1 go approved, i requested for Withdrawal of H4/H4 EAD on 26th september.

When I checked online today, the status for H4 EAD shows as new card is being processed. It does look like her H4/h4 EAD is approved. Her h4 cases status still shows as pending though (Probably not updated yet).

1)So come Oct1st, what status would she be on?

2) How do we preserve her H1b?

3) Would she be cap exempt for H1, assuming her H4 and H4 EAD was approved prior to October 1st?
