Visitor visa extension

Hello experts

for visitor visa extension I know the rule is to apply with in 45 days of I 94 expiry or by end of 6th month . After getting receipt notice and if the uscis does not make a decision by end of I 94 expiry date does the visitor has to leave right away .. please advise 

 am planning for extension for 3 months .

Don't worry, they will give you enough time to leave in case if the application is denied and let you know why they denied, I have been checking the forum and have not heard any rejections for B2 extensions lately, I hope you will get it, just be patient with the process as it takes some time 60-90days. You don't have to leave if your current I94 is expired as long as your application for extension I539 is filed and you have received an acknowledgement from USCIS.
