Applying H4 EAD while H4 extension in process

Hello,

Presently my H4 extension is in process (applied on 22nd March,2017) with Vermont service center and my spouse's 140 got approved today. Now I have two options to apply H4-EAD, please suggest me which one should I opt to get my EAD soon?

1. Apply H4-EAD even H4 extension is in process. Will USCIS process H4 EAD application along with H4 extension or they will wait until H4 approval then they will process EAD?

2. Travel to India and get the H4 stamping done and come back to US to apply EAD immediately. 

Please help me to know pros and cons of each option.
