Changing job immediately after I-140 is approved

Hi,

I very recently got my I-140 approved a couple of days back. My GC is filed in EB-2 Category. Also i will be soon completing 6 years on my H1-B visa. I have my I-140 approval copy.

Q1. Can i change my Job/Employer now or should i wait for 180 days after approval of I-140 to change my Job

Q2. Also if i plan to bring my wife to H4-EAD , should i have to wait for 180 days so that I-140 cannot be revoked.

You should possibly wait as H1 extensions are taking a long time. Ideally you would get a 3 year H1 with the new employer based on PP and the I-140 approval after which revocation would not matter in any case. Now if you leave and the I-140 is revoked before H1 extension within the next 6 months, you may be left with major problems. Since revocation after 180 days seems to not matter in the sense that you can wait for H1 approval after that. Talk to a lawyer and do not assume the exact legal situation.
